The international B2B furniture and woodworking matchmaking event was organized on 26th of March 2009 in Vilnius,Lithuania, in order to create an opportunity for the enterprises fromEuropean countries to find foreign partners as well as to expandcooperation networks.

The B2B matchmaking event attracted nearly100 participating companies from the furniture and woodworking sectors.At the event, companies were able to book a number of 30 minutesmeeting with the companies from other regions of Europe, where theycould quickly assess whether there were grounds for furtherco-operation. The event was organized together with the specializedexhibition, therefore it was a perfect opportunity for SME's both totake part in the face-to-face meetings and visit international fair.

Theevent was very well visited and feedback from the event was excellentwith many companies requesting similar events in the future. Manycompanies pointed out that the benefits of this type of event were thatthey could select and meet with up to 20 companies in a one day trip,which gave them a very cost-effective and effective way of building upexport sales in target regions. These short meetings provided enoughtime to find out whether the two had anything in common or could worktogether in the future.Participants came from 9 regions of Europe(Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, TheNetherlands, Sweden, and UK), which gave optimal chances of finding theright distributor, partner or subcontractor for each company.
