The international B2B matchmaking event for the textile and interior, fashion and style, workwear and safety, leather and footwear, innovations and technologies will be organized on 14^th  of October 2010 in Vilnius, Lithuania, in order to create an opportunity for the enterprises from Eastern European, Scandinavian, Lithuanian and other countries to find foreign partners as well as to expand cooperation networks.

The B2B matchmaking event will attract about 100 participating companies from the textile and interior, fashion and style, workwear and safety, leather and footwear, innovations and technologies sectors. At the event, companies will be able to book a number of 30 minutes meeting with the companies from the same or other country, where they could quickly assess whether there will be grounds for further co-operation. The event will be organized together with the specialized trade fair "BALTIC TEXTILE+LEATHER" (www.baltictextile.eu ), therefore it will be a perfect opportunity for companies both to take part in the face-to-face meetings and visit international trade fair. The benefits of this type of event are that companies can select and meet with up to 20 companies in a one day trip, which gives them a very cheap and effective way of building up export sales in target countries. These short meetings will provide enough time to find out whether the two will anything in common or can work together in the future.

Participants will come from Russia (Moscow region, St. Petersburg region), Belarus, Lithuania, Scandinavian countries (Sweden, Denmark, Finland), Estonia, Latvia, UK, Norway, Nedherlands, Germany ant etc.

Standardized information on every company and its requirements will be published on the online catalogue (in English). After indicating their interests, companies will have the opportunity to meet with other participants who share similar interests during the event.

Due to the fast internationalization the supply chain initiatives are more and more recognized in the Lithuanian apparel and textile industry.  More Lithuanian companies are willing to belong to the business networks and exchange best experiences with the foreign partners. Therefore, the main goal of the trade meeting event at the “Baltic Textile and Leather” is to foster the development of the trade relationships and networks among Baltic as well as other countries.

This event is part of the project “Cluster Competence Network”, partly financed by the EU structural funds.
